Хан-Уул дүүрэг үүсэн байгуулагдсаны түүхт 60 жилийн ой энэ онд тохиож байна. Хан-Уул дүүрэг нь БНМАУ-ын Ардын Их Хурлын Тэргүүлэгчдийн 1965 оны 4 дүгээр сарын 14-ний өдрийн 79 дүгээр зарлигаар “Ажилчны район” нэртэйгээр байгуулагдсан бөгөөд нийслэлийн ууган дөрвөн дүүргийн нэг юм.
Ойн баярыг тохиолдуулан Хан-Уул дүүргийг нийслэлийн Иргэдийн Төлөөлөгчдийн Хурлын даргын захирамжаар “Хангарьд” одонгоор шагналаа.
Баярын хуралд Монгол Улсын Их Хурлын гишүүн, Улсын Их хурал дахь Монгол Ардын намын Бүлгийн дэд дарга Ж. Алдаржавхлан, Монгол Улсын Их Хурлын гишүүн Т.Мөнхсайхан, Хан-Уул дүүргийн иргэдийн Төлөөлөгчдийн Хурлын дарга Ч. Бат-Оргил, Хан-Уул дүүргийн Засаг дарга Б.Цэрэн нар мэндчилгээ дэвшүүллээ.
Мөн НИТХ-ын төлөөлөгч А.Амартүвшин, Л.Хосбаяр, Б.Мягмар, Ж.Энхжаргалан болон үе үеийн дүүргийн ИТХ-ын төлөөлөгч, Засаг дарга нар, Нийслэлийн бусад дүүргүүдийн ИТХ-н дарга, Засаг дарга нар Хан-Уул дүүргийн ИТХ-ын төлөөлөгчид, Хан-Уул дүүргийн удирдах албан тушаалтнууд, Хан-Уул дүүрэгт ажиллаж байсан үе үеийн удирдлагууд, төрийн албан хаагчид, Хан-Уул дүүргээс төрөн гарсан алдартнууд, Хан-Уул дүүргийн иргэд, аж ахуйн нэгж, байгууллагуудын төлөөлөл оролцлоо.
60 жилийн ойн хүрээнд баярын хурал, урлагийн тоглолт, гэрэл зургийн үзэсгэлэн “Богдхан уулын хишиг” бөхийн барилдаан зэрэг арга хэмжээнүүдийг зохион байгуулж байна.
